Suspended Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh, who was quizzed by the ministry of corporate affairs’ investigative wing –Serious Frauds Investigation Office (SFIO)— on the Saradha chit fund scam, was said to have handed over some crucial documents to the investigators on Friday.
According to sources, SFIO will also quiz another the Trinamool MP for his alleged involvement in the scam, which duped lakhs of investors into depositing in ponzi schemes.

The police in Kolkata had called Kunal, who was the chief executive of Saradha’s media venture that had several television channels and newspapers, for the ninth round of questioning in the city on Saturday.
The investigative agency is scheduled to quiz Kunal yet again on October 21, for which he will travel to Delhi. Amid speculations about his imminent arrest, party insiders say that West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has withdrawn her objections over Kunal’s prosecution.

Kunal, suspended from the Trinamool Congress on September 28 due to anti-party statements at a public function, told reporters that he tried his best to answer his interrogators during the 16-hour quizzing session over Thursday and Friday.
“They wanted me to clarify my position. They had other questions and they are trying to find out where the money has gone,” he said.
